California Association for Music Therapy (CAAMT) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that represents the best interests of music therapy consumers and providers in the State of California. CAAMT is open to connections with related associations nationwide and interested partners that support the promotion of music therapy as a profession in the State of California. We are independent from the American Music Therapy Association.
The mission of CAAMT is to pursue the advancement of music therapy as a profession in the State of California through community outreach, public education, and support of local music therapists.
We want to increase public access to the benefits of music therapy services throughout the State of California. We want to see full- and part-time music therapy positions offered at every facility, medical institution, program, school, treatment center, and home where there is a need.
